Reclaiming the Light and Dark Aspects of the Divine Feminine
The Goddess, Queen, Mother, Aphrodite, Venus, and Isis. These are just some of the associations scholars have associated with the Empress card, and boy, does she sure live up to the hype. Reclining back on her throne in her garden with her crown of 12 stars, each one representing a different zodiac sign, it’s almost impossible not to be captivated by her charm, beauty, and elegance.

But is she always so graceful, elegant, kind, loving, and full of abundance? What is her shadow? And if she is the divine counterpart to the Emperor’s divine masculine, what does she have to teach us about the divine feminine?
Last week I posted about the Emperor card in Tarot, along with a discussion about complexes and how the Emperor represents both the light and shadow aspects of the masculine. This week, in proper feminist form, it is time for the ladies to get some love as we dive into the beauty and mystery of the Empress and her light and shadow aspects.
