The Snake and the Power of the Feminine

Early this week, I finished reading Merlin Stone’s book When God Was a Woman, which provides a fascinating overview of not only Goddess-worshipping cultures dating back to Sumer, Egypt, and Babylonia, but also the rise of the Abrahamic religions, which would come to replace them. (i.e. Christianity, Islam, and Judaism.)
